Dual seminar features Randy Conat, dirigibles
FLINT — The Mott Community College (MCC) Lifelong Learning office announces the 2018-19 Friday Applewood Lecture Series. The next program in the line-up is on Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. and features Randy Conat, who spent many years in a career in television news journalism with ABC Channel 12 since 1992 and life story and Michael Heberling, PHD., and retired Colonel, U.S. Air Force, will present on the story of the USS Akron and the USS Macon, two dirigibles commissioned by the U.S. Navy in the early 1930’s. This series especially designed for senior citizens but is open to everyone runs through May. FLINT — The annual drive for bikes for Flint kids will be hosted by The Machine Shop and 711 Entertainment, March 2 from 7 p.m.–2 a.m at The Machine Shop, 3539 S. Dort Hwy.
