UM-Flint Ice Rink Open Skate

FLINT — The University of Michigan-Flint hosts an open ice skate March 2, 12-4 p.m. and March 3, 12-4 p.m. in the downtown rink, 303 E. Kearsley St. (401 Mill St. for mapping). Krystal Jo’s Bike Drive Benefit

FLINT — The annual drive for bikes for Flint kids will be hosted by The Machine Shop and 711 Entertainment, March 2 from 7 p.m.–2 a.m. at The Machine Shop, 3539 S. Dort Hwy. Proceeds go to the bike drive to help provide bicycles for Flint youth Concert currently includes Thundergrater, Loxodon, Sugarpunk Fairies & Stifling Edith as well as raffles and bake sale. $5 minimum donation. — P.S.

Business Cyber Security 101

FLINT — Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce will host a Cyber Security seminar for businesses March 5 from 12 – 1 p.m. at The Ferris Wheel, 615 S. Saginaw Street. Facilitator Ron Thatcher, Adversim will discuss what you can do to help limit an attack on your business and why penetration testing – an authorized, simulated cyber-attack on a computer system – should be a routine element in today’s business environment. According to the Federal Communications Commission, or FCC, theft of digital information has outpaced physical theft as the most commonly reported fraud. Miracle League Town Hall

GRAND BLANC TWP. — The Miracle League of Greater Flint is working to bring a Miracle League field to Mundy Township in an effort to create recreational equality for all. To help create this baseball and recreation complex for those who are differently-abled, a town hall meeting will be held March 5, from 5 – 6:30 p.m. at Genesys Conference & Banquet Center, 805 Health Park Boulevard.
