Spring into Summer Family Fun Fair

FLINT TWP. — The Spring into Summer Family Fun Fair will be held May 18 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Resurrection Reformed Church, 5225 Calkins Rd. (at the corner of Calkins and Dye roads). They will have Yevettes Gourmet Taco Food Truck, a bounce house, Genesee STEM Academy, Hurley Medical Center, MSU Cooperative Extension Service, Flint Institute of Arts, Thomas Smith Memorial Foundation, Bike Safety with the Flint Township Police Department, fire truck from the Flint Township Fire Department, arts and crafts, face painting, farm animals and free popcorn and treats.

Swiss Steak Dinner

FLUSHING — The Flushing Masons will be hosting their Swiss Steak dinner this month on May 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Flushing Masonic Center. Dinner is $10 per person and take-outs are available. — B.G.

Constituent Meet and Greet with Rep. John Cherry

FLUSHING — The Flushing Area Library will hold a Constituent Meet and Greet with State Representative John Cherry on May 21 at 6 p.m. This is an opportunity for residents in the 49th District to sit down and have a chat with Rep. Cherry, who will be fielding questions and taking suggestions from locals. — B.G.

History of Barbie Dolls

FLUSHING — The Flushing Historical Society will host a presentation on the history of Barbie Dolls on May 20 at 7 p.m. Attendees can also view the museum’s military display covering the Civil War through the Korean Conflict. The meeting is free and open to the public. — B.G.

GRAND BLANC TWP. — The Autism Support & Resource Center will host a new run and family event on May 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Creasey Bicentennial Park, 1505 E. Grand Blanc Road. This is the 13th Annual Family Fun Day but includes their first timed 5k Run and Walk at 12 p.m.! Also includes a ceremonial walk, Autism Angel Awards, raffles, inflatables (all day access just $3!), concessions and more.
