FLINT — Commit to Fit features Cooking With Kids at The Flint Children’s Museum, 1602 University Ave. This free hands-on program teaches families to make healthy food choices, while learning to cook fresh, affordable recipes from diverse cultural traditions. Crafters giving back

FLINT — Would you like to join other crafters using your skills to give back to your community? Flint Handmade Gives Back: Crafting for Charity, hosted by The Local Grocer, 601 Martin L. King Ave. A quarterly event supporting local charities: Wednesday, June 19 at 5:30 p.m. (Painting Kindness Rocks), Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 5:30 p.m. (event to be announced), and Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 5:30 p.m. (Making Cards for Hurley Kids). 9th Annual Flint Gay Pride Festival!!

FLINT — Flint Pride hosts the ninth annual Flint Pride Festival June 22 from 2-8 p.m. at Riverbank Park Downtown Flint (on Beach Street behind Riverfront Banquet Center. Join us in taking a positive stance against discrimination and violence toward the LGBTQ+ community, celebrating the diversity of our city, and affirming gay and transgender individuals, increase visibility and to build a sense of community. $5 suggested donation. My Brother’s Keeper fundraiser

FLINT — My Brother’s Keeper invites the public to their annual Crystal Ball fundraiser to help end homelessness in Flint and Genesee County. The festivities take place June 22nd from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. at the Davison Knights of Columbus Hall, 8428 E. Davison Road and features cocktail hour (6-7 p,m,) a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and dinner by Creative Catering, live music performed by Bridge and DJ Ares Hill. Sponsorships available.
