FLINT — The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan hosts their annual fundraiser Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Your $25 ticket entitles you to soup, bread, and dessert from a variety of local chefs and restaurants. You will also take home a one-of-a-kind pottery bowl, created by local artisans at the Flint Institute of Arts, as a reminder of hunger in our communities. Money raised from the event will support hungry families in eastern Michigan. For every dollar raised, the Food Bank is able to provide six meals! Sneller to host transportation town hall

GRAND BLANC — State Rep. Tim Sneller (D-Burton) will be hosting a transportation town hall on Sept. 23, from 6-8 p.m. at the Grand Blanc Senior Activity Center, 12632 Pagels Drive.

The event will include a discussion on current proposals to fix our roads and address the state’s underfunded infrastructure, followed by a question and answer session where attendees can share thoughts and concerns. Joining Rep. Sneller will be special guests Reps. John Cherry, Sheryl Y. Kennedy, and Sheldon Neeley, along with Michigan Department of Transportation Director, Paul C. Ajegba, P.E., and representatives from the Genesee County Road Commission and local government officials. — G.G.

Fall Harvest Festival
