Free breast cancer screenings
FLINT — Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute (GHCI) will conduct free breast cancer screenings today (Oct. 17) from 5-7 p.m. at GHCI, 302 Kensington Avenue. The screenings are open to anyone of any age and no appointment or pre-registration is necessary. Simply walk in and you will see a physician who will conduct the exam. FLINT — Voices for Children Advocacy Center hosts a public Halloween Party, Oct. 18 from 5–8 p.m. at the Voices for Children Advocacy Center, 515 S. East St. Come celebrate Halloween with family friendly activities and light refreshments. This year we will be exploring the Unknown with our theme from the Cartoon Network series “Over the Garden Wall.” Come trick or treat with us, make a few take-away arts projects, and play! Queen of Kings 5th Annual All Male Beauty Pageant
FLINT — The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, 1939 Howard Ave., hosts their annual All Male Beauty Pageant on Oct. 26 from 7–10 p.m. Enjoy an evening of entertainment when our finest male contestants (with celebrity status in the community) compete in a comedy beauty pageant complete with Swimsuit, Talent, Interview, and Evening Gown! This is a fundraiser for the food bank and the Windmill Woman’s Circle will crown the winner for 2019. Cost: $10 (provides 60 meals to the less fortunate).
