Catholic Charities fundraiser

GRAND BLANC TWP. — The Catholic Charities of Flint and Owosso host the Chairity Fundraising Gala Nov. 9 from 6–11 p.m. at Genesys Banquet Center, 805 Health Park Blvd. Pull up a chair… and join us for a fabulous meal, live auction and inspiring stories of hope, healing and lives changed with the help of Catholic Charities and people just like you. Unique chairs designed by local groups, artists and students from Catholic schools, to be auctioned off. Juried by the Greater Flint Arts Council the top 15 chairs will be in the live auction, other chairs in the silent auction. $100 per person includes being automatically entered into the Answered Prayers Superdraw which is a $100 ticket equal to one opportunity to win up to $4,000 in cash prizes or one of four lesser prizes. Fall Cooking with Kids classes

FLINT — Classes will take place at the Flint Children’s Museum. Pre-registration is required for this free, hands-on program which teaches families to make healthy food choices while learning to cook fresh, affordable recipes from diverse cultural traditions. Ink for the Animals

FLINT — The Humane Society of Genesee County and Millennial Ink are hosting a tattoo day to support the Humane Society, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m.–9 p.m. at the Humane Society of Genesee County, G-3325 S. Dort Hwy., Burton. The awesome tattoo artists at Millennial Ink will be doing $30 black with one other color pre-drawn animal tattoos. Additional colors are $5 each. A portion of each tattoo will be donated to the Humane Society of Genesee County. There will also be a 50/50, raffle items, liquor basket raffle, and HSGC shirts for purchase. Old Newsboys fundraiser

FLINT — Luigi’s & El Toro Sports Bar host their annual Old Newsboys fundraiser “No Child is Forgotten” on Dec. 4. For only $20 you can have an evening of fun, dinner, music by the Blue Hawaiians (Elvis style) and a chance to put a smile on a child’s face Christmas morning.
