GENESEE COUNTY — Do you have a street light out near your house? Consumers Energy has an easy way to fix that! Residents just need an approximate address, intersection or the pole number, and indicate if the light is out (not working), always stays on or is just flickering. FLINT — The Flint Children’s Museum, 1602 University Ave will host a day of free admission sponsored by Kohl’s Cares and Hurley Medical Center on Feb. 2 from 12–5 p.m. The Flint Children’s Museum has over 40 hands-on exhibits to explore! LWV— Flint 100th Birthday Gala

FLINT — The League of Women Voters— Flint will host a 100th Birthday celebration on Feb. 14 from 5–8:30 p.m. at the Durant-Dort Carriage Factory Number One Historical Marker, 303 W. Water Street. Limited seats available as we honor our 50 years/plus members and a Making Democracy Work awardee, and officially unveil the bronze busts of the Honoring Heroines and Humanitarians honorees, sculpted by Ms. Jane Trotter and her Flint Institute of Arts’ students. Music in the Heart of the City

FLINT — St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 711 S. Saginaw Street, will present the world premiere of Dragonfly, composed by Bill Withem, Feb. 23 at 4 p.m. This performance is a chamber work for flute, percussion/piano performed by Townes Osborn Miller (flute), Carl Angelo (piano), Delaina Oberman (percussion). The music of composer Bill Withem has been performed throughout the Western Hemisphere, with premieres in New York, Los Angeles, and Detroit. Withem composed the score for the Michigan Emmy winning best documentary film in 2013 imported from China. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. — P.S.
