Davison Car Cruise to return July 10

DAVISON — Classic cars will return to Main Street in downtown Davison starting July 10 as the Friday night Cruisin’ Flag City Car Cruises resume after a delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cars will be back on the streets from 6-8 p.m. Friday nights through Sept. 11. More details to come in the Davison Index. — G.G.

Davison Farmers Market holding outdoor craft show

DAVISON TWP. — The Davison Farmers Market will be hosting an Outdoor Craft Show on June 27, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Rain or shine, the market will be full of vendors outside displaying their artistic handicrafts for indoor and outdoor decorating.

Vendors will be wearing masks and practicing social distancing. The market asks visitors to respectfully do the same. Hand washing stations will be setup throughout the pavilion.

Among the array of colorful florals, hanging baskets and arrangements, you will find the finest in choice-cut meats, the freshest eggs, produce, fruit, including delectable treats from baked goods to homemade candies.

Come visit the market for all your picnic needs. The Davison Farmers Market is open year-round from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Located just off of I-69, at the corner of Irish Road and East Court in Davison.

Paving project started on Lippincott Boulevard

DAVISON TWP. — The Genesee County Road Commission began a milling and paving project on Lippincott Boulevard from Kearsley Creek to M-15 in Davison Township on June 23. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times. The roadway is anticipated to fully open to traffic on June 30. Motorists are advised to expect delays and to proceed with caution. — G.G.

Paving and Shoulder project on Henderson Road in Davison Township

DAVISON TWP. — The Genesee County Road Commission began an asphalt paving and limestone shoulders project on Henderson Road from Davison Road to Potter Road in Davison Township on June 22. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times. The roadway is anticipated to fully open to traffic on June 30.
