Area clerk’s offices open Oct. 31

DAVISON AREA — As required by law, local clerks will be open Saturday, Oct. 31, for accepting and issuing absentee ballots and voter registrations. Office hours are: Davison Township — 7 a.m.-3 p.m.; City of Davison — 7 a.m.-3 p.m.; and Richfield Township from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

VFW to serve meat loaf dinner

DAVISON TWP. — Davison Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4087 Auxiliary, 8031 E. Court St., will be having another Meat Loaf Dinner, Nov. 4 and Pasties Nov. 20. The Auxiliary also has sewn masks for sale (adults $4) (kids $2) an collects VG receipts for their Veterans Programs. — G.G.

Living Grace to deliver holiday turkeys

DAVISON TWP. — It’s that time of year again. Living Grace Church, 7074 Davison Rd., along with Heritage Church, will be delivering holiday turkey dinners with all the trimmings on Nov. 7 between 12:30- 3:30 p.m. If interested for yourself or others, call 810-441-4571. — G.G.


DAVISON TWP. — The Lake Callis Recreation Complex, 1152 N. Gale Rd., will host a Drive- Thru Trunk or Treat. Oct. 23 from 4-7 p.m.

People will drive into the complex from the Gale Road entrance while businesses and organizations will be there in vendor booths, 8-10 feet apart, lining the driveway and handing out treats and a promotional item.

Bags will be attached to the vehicle, depending on the number of children inside, and the vendors will drop the treats in the bags as they drive by.

People will stay in their cars and they can leave their windows up or down, depending on how safe they feel. They’ll drive up the drive, around the bend and go back out onto Gale Road.

She said there will also be a transmitter on site playing Halloween music the participants can tune in on their car radio as they drive-through.
