Kennedy appointed to State Officers Compensation Commission

LANSING — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer recently announced the appointment of former 48th District State Representative Sheryl Kennedy of Richfield Township to the State Officers Compensation Commission.

Prior to elected office, Kennedy served as an educator, principal, and lecturer at the University of Michigan. She succeeds Dan DeGrow whose term has expired.

She lost her bid for a second term as state representative in the November general election.

Appointments to the State Officers Compensation Commission are for 4-year terms and are not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate. — G.G.
