DCER to hold performances in March

DAVISON — The Davison Community Enrichment and Recreation (DCER) Actors Playhouse has two upcoming performances including “Alice in Wonderland” on March 11-13 and “The Game of Clue” March 18-20. Performances will be held in the Davison Middle School cafeteria.

Seating is limited to 60 people and will be assigned and spaced accordingly.

Everyone is required to wear masks. Hand sanitizer will be available, and guests will be asked to sign in with phone number and name (for tracing if needed) and participate in a temperature scan.

Winter Craft Show at Davison Farmers Market

DAVISON TWP. — In recognition of February being “Heart Smart Awareness Month” Davison Farmers Market will be hosting an “All Day, Open to Close, Indoor Winter Craft Show” Feb. 27. Artisans will have on display those unique gifts made from the heart.

The market vendors will be available for the finest eggs, premium choice cut meats, savory cheeses, freshest produce, scrumptious baked goods, flavorful snacks and delectable treats. Davison Farmers Market continues following CDC Guidelines by wearing masks and practicing social distancing. The market asks visitors to respectfully do the same.

Hand washing stations are still setup throughout the market for your convenience. Just a few things Davison Farmers Market is doing to ensure the safety of its vendors and customers.

The Davison Farmers Market is open year-round from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It is located just off of I-69, at the corner of Irish Road and East Court in Davison.

New Life Church hosts free food distribution

FLUSHING TWP. — New Life Church in Flushing Township will be holding a free food distribution on the third Monday of each month from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (or until the food is all gone). The church is located on 8290 Carpenter Rd. at the corner of Carpenter and Deland roads, west of Flushing Middle School. New Life Church is planning to continue food distribution at least through December, always on the third Monday of the month in the 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. time frame. Mobile food pantry on Feb. 27

BURTON — Creekwood Dental will hold a mobile food pantry Feb. 27, from 1-3 p.m. for anyone who needs food. The event will be held in the Creekwood Dental Parking lot, 1080 Creekwood Trail, in Burton.

This is for anyone who needs food. If you are someone you know needs food, stop by. The Mobile Food Pantry is on the fourth Saturday of each month.

Frost law weight restrictions being imposed March 5

GENESEE COUNTY — Effective at 6 a.m. on March 5, the Genesee County Road Commission will place Seasonal Weight and Speed Restrictions on all county roads within Genesee County. These restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.
