Horror Films at Woobies
FLINT — At 9 p.m. April 13 Woobies, located at 4011 S. Saginaw St., with Monster King and Robert Paul Nixon Design & Photography will host A Double Feature Freak Out: A Night of Horror Art and Cinema. The featured films include “Children Shouldn’t Play With Dead Things” and “Chillerama”. The intermission act Doppleganer Circus Sideshow is scheduled. Admission is free. Swartz Creek Women’s Club offers scholarship
SWARTZ CREEK — Applications are being accepted for the General Federation of Women’s Clubs-Swartz Creek 2012, $500 scholarship. All women living within the Swartz Creek Area School District and currently attending college are invited to apply. Applicants must carry a minimum 2.5 college GPA. Application forms are available at the Swartz Creek City Hall and the Swartz Creek Perkins Library.
Application deadline is June 8. The winning candidate will be determined through committee review and/or interview. The winning candidate will be awarded the scholarship at the August GFWC-Swartz Creek meeting. — G.G.
