Garage sale planned at First Baptist Church

DAVISON — The First Baptist Church of Davison, 208 E. Fourth St., will hold a garage sale, April 30 and May 1, Friday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

They will be having a large clothing boutique this year plus the Garage Sale. The sale is part of the annual M-15 Heritage Route yard sale which runs May 1 along the 60-miles of M-15 from Bay City to Clarkston.

McLaren hosts drive-thru COVID-19 vaccine clinics this week

DAVISON — McLaren Health Management Group is hosting two drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination clinics this week at its headquarters in Davison, today, April 22, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and April 23, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine

(Available for ages 16+, 16- and 17-year-olds must have consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian. Form is available at www.mclaren.org/covid19vaccine)

Patients should wear clothes that allow access to the upper arm and complete and/or bring the following items to the appointment:

Patients will remain in their vehicle during the clinic and should wear face coverings and must wait in the observation parking area for 15 – 30 minutes after receiving the vaccine. — G.G.

Township clean-up scheduled for Saturday

FLINT TWP. — Flint Township Events will be hosting a community clean-up this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Linden Lane Apartments, 3095 Linden Road, across from the old Sears parking lot (3191 Linden Road) in the Genesee Valley Center. Anyone can show up to volunteer and help clean up trash. No registration is necessary, but volunteers are encouraged to come early to fill out a waiver. Volunteers will meet in the Sears parking lot before the clean-up.

Carman-Ainsworth to resume in-person learning on Monday

FLINT TWP. — Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools is tentatively slated to resume its hybrid in-person learning format on Monday, April 26, after going 100 percent remote for the past two weeks. Although CACS was originally scheduled to return to in-person classes this past Monday, the district extended its remote learning period from April 19 to this Friday, April 23, due to rising COVID-19 case numbers and COVID-related hospitalizations.
