Rules for fireworks

ATLAS TWP. — The discharge of consumer-grade fireworks is allowed in Atlas Township from June 29 to July 4. Fireworks may be used until 11:45 p.m. each of those nights.

Violation of the Atlas Township Fireworks Ordinance, #13-02B, may result in a civil fine of up to $1,000 for each violation.

Atlas Township residents can call Genesee County 911 to report violations and to have a sheriff deputy dispatched. — L.R.

Cemetery cleanup set

ATLAS TWP. — Volunteers will gather to help clean up the Atlas Cemetery from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 30.

Anyone interested in pitching in should bring their own garden tools. The crew will clear brush, overgrown vegetation and debris that has encroached onto and into the cemetery.

VFW, American Legion to hold Memorial Day ceremony

DAVISON — The Davison Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4087 and the American Legion Post 167 will hold a Memorial Day ceremony at the City Hall Veterans Memorial, 200 E. Main St., at 11 a.m. on Memorial Day. The public is invited. — G.G.

Flea Market Flip Day at Davison Farmer’s Market

DAVISON TWP. — May 29, from open to close, Davison Farmers Market will be having a Flea Market Flip Day.

Also, the market will be dressed in a rainbow of spring color with flats and bouquets of vibrant florals. Other local vendors, both farm and artistic will have on display their quality goods and specialties.

Davison Farmers Market continues to maintain CDC Guidelines by wearing masks and practicing social distancing. We ask visitors to respectfully do the same. Hand washing stations remain setup throughout the market for your convenience.

The Davison Farmers Market open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Located just off I-69, at the corner of Irish Road and East Court in Davison.

Andy’s Attic annual sale coming later in May

DAVISON — Andy’s Attic Annual Sale will be held in the gym at the St. John Family Center, 505 N., Dayton St., and in all the tents and the yellow barn behind the Family Center. This is a fundraiser, not a garage sale. Come and see the large selection of items to purchase and have fun.

The sale will be held May 27-28 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and May 29 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. They will be closed Sunday. The sale will take place rain or shine, and facemasks are required. — G.G.

Weekly car show to debut at Davison Farmers Market

DAVISON TWP. — The Harvest Collectibles at the Market will be held every Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Davison Farmers Market, 8110 E. Court St.

A Best in Show Plaque for car, truck or tractor will be awarded weekly and there will be weekly 50/50 charitable drawings.

Some of the food vendors at the market will be open during the shows. This will be a family friendly atmosphere with food and music.
