Senior Harvest Ball at AMS, Oct. 22

BURTON — The Burton Rotary Club is having its annual Senior Harvest Ball on Oct. 22 at the Atherton Elementary School, 3444 S. Genesee Rd., formerly the middle school. It starts at 6 p.m. and is free to all who attend.

Trick or Treat Trail is Oct. 23

BURTON — Trick or Treat Trail will take place Oct. 23, from 12-3 p.m. Children will start walking the trail at noon and there will be hayrides available.

Project Heats On returning Oct. 23

BURTON — The 13th Annual Project Heat’s On will take place Oct. 23, once again assisting low income city residents with heir heating needs. Project Heat’s On provides free furnace cleaning and repair for Burton residents who own and live in their homes and are experiencing temporary or long-term financial hardship.

This year’s Project Heat’s On will take place at Bentley High School and it starts at 7 a.m. with a brief breakfast and organizational meeting before the service trucks from Goyette Mechanical head out at 8 a.m.

Project Heat’s On volunteers and technicians will observe all COVID-19 compliance measures when entering homes. Face masks and proper social distancing will be utilized to ensure safety.

Halloween Hootenanny at Longway Planetarium

FLINT — There will be a Halloween Hootenanny, Oct. 16, from 5-8 p.m. in-person at Longway Planetarium, 1310 E. Kearsley St. Advance ticket purchase required. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Tickets are $8 adults, $6 youth ages 2-11. Grab your little monster and boogey the night away at the annual Halloween Hootenanny. Join the planetarium and show off your best monster mash!
