Progressive AE launches beta version of LEED App for Earth Day

STATEWIDE — Progressive AE has developed its first mobile app to aid Project Teams seeking LEEDTM (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.

Progressive AE’s LEED PAL, or LEED Photo Album Log, will be used by its clients to streamline the LEED process. The app will serve as a communication tool between construction field personnel and the LEED administrator to describe and capture photographic documentation required for review by the GBCI (Green Building Certification Institute) prior to certification.

“We are always looking for new ways to use technology to improve our client’s experience; we see this as the first generation of a family of apps we plan to offer to our clients,” says Tracy Sianta, Vice President, Marketing and Business Development.

Project teams working with Progressive AE can download the beta version of the app directly off of the company’s website. To learn more about the app, visit www.progressiveae.com.— G.G.

King Par to hold benefit for Whaley Center

FLUSHING — King Par LLC has announced the 2nd annual King Par Classic for the benefit of Whaley Children’s Center. The event will be held on June 25, at Warwick Hills Country Club in Grand Blanc.

This exceptional golf venue was the site of the PGA Tour Buick Open for 50 years. Now, many in the community will experience this pristine course while benefiting the worthy cause of Whaley Children’s Center.

This year’s event will differ from last year’s event in that there will be two separate tee times held on the same day. There will be a four person scramble in the morning with breakfast and lunch provided and awards going to the top men’s, women’s and mixed teams, and then an afternoon Pro/Am with lunch and a dinner featuring Celebrity Guest Host Mickey Redmond.

King Par is continuing to accept donations and corporate sponsorships, with levels ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 for major sponsorships and $300 for hole sponsorships. Major sponsors currently include Patsy Lou Williamson, Colston Financial, Orion Energy Systems, and King Par LLC.

The event will offer many exciting contests and awards; Men’s Longest Drive, Women’s Longest Drive, and Closest-to-the-Pin will all receive great prizes. A million dollar pay out could await the lucky golfer who gets an ace in the Million Dollar Hole-in-One Contest sponsored by Orlimar. There will also be a putting contest for the chance to win $10,000, sponsored by Patsy Lou Williamson.

The Big-Barrel-Shootout, raffles, and a Live Auction at dinner round out the fun.

Registration is currently open while spots last. The entry fee is $300 per player for the morning scramble, and $450 per play for the afternoon Pro/Am Event.
