McLaren Health Plan expands sales team

FLINT — McLaren Health Plan welcomes Ron Russman, Patricia Schulte and Jim McCloy to the growing sales team.

With 19 years of insurance experience, Russman of Oxford is certified with the State of Michigan in life and health insurance and with the Health Insurance Association of America. He most recently served as an employee benefits specialist at Hantz Benefit Services, where he developed new business sales within State of Michigan employer groups.

A 19-year insurance expert, Schulte of Almont has demonstrated success in new business growth initiatives and is certified in life, health and accident insurance. Schulte previously served as a marketing representative for the Agent Benefits Corporation, where she conducted market analyses to increase small group health insurance sales.

McCloy of Lansing brings more than 20 years of sales knowledge to McLaren Health Plan. McCloy formerly served as an account executive, financial advisor and registered representative with Physicians Health Plan of Mid-Michigan.

As sales executives at McLaren Health Plan, Russman, Schulte and McCloy will assist the vice president of sales with new business activities, including development and execution of sales plans to achieve membership goals.

Homebrewers event to benefit the Old Newsboys

MUNDY TWP. — The Redwood Steakhouse and Brewery, 5304 Gateway Centre Drive (Hill Rd./ U.S. 23), will hold a Homebrewers Event to benefit the Old Newsboys from 8 a.m.-11:45 p.m., May 5.

Redwood Brewing hosts AHA Big Brew — a celebration of National Homebrewers Day. The event kicks off at 8 a.m. with an open brewing session. All types of brewing will be welcome. The tent party starts at noon, and all will lift a glass for the national toast at 1 p.m. Live music, featuring The Skinny and Rhythm Gypsies, starts at 6 P.M. The $10 entry fee supports the Old Newsboys of Flint.
