Healthcare magazine lauds McLaren Health Plan
FLINT — McLaren Health Plan (MHP) has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare Magazine for the third year in a row. The award recognizes health care organizations that maintain an engaged and successful workforce based on employee satisfaction surveys.
“Being recognized for the third year in a row as one of the best places to work in health care embodies the employee leadership goals we strive for every day at MHP,” president and CEO of McLaren Health Plan Kathy Kendall said. “Each employee is held in such high regard as a crucial component to the company, and I am so pleased that we are being acknowledged once again for their accomplishments and teamwork.”
Employees responded to an internal engagement and satisfaction survey, in which they answered questions regarding leadership and planning, culture and communications, work environment and overall satisfaction.
The list of Best Places to Work winners was published on Modern Healthcare’s website at the end of July. On Oct. 9, specific rankings of each organization will be announced at an awards gala in Nashville, Tenn. Last year, McLaren Health Plan received a ranking of 15th in the nation, a leap from 57th in 2010. — G.G.
