Vendors sought for Vendor Extravaganza

FLINT — The Mott Community College Travel Club, an MCC student organization, is inviting vendors, crafters and home sales distributors to participate in their Vendor Extravaganza, scheduled to take place 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Dec. 14 in the MCC Event Center. This event is free and open to the public.

The cost for anyone interested in vending products or services is $25 for a table and two chairs. The deadline for requesting tables is Dec. 7.

Students who participate in the MCC Travel Club have an opportunity to gain knowledge and understanding of different cultures around the world through a variety of fund raising activities and excursions.

McLaren invites community to get facts about leg pain

FLUSHING — Area residents are invited to join McLaren’s spine experts at this free community program Nov. 29. Registration is required as seating is limited. The program is 6-7 p.m. at the Flushing Senior Center, 106 Elm Street. Light refreshments will be served. Registration is required by calling 810-659- 4735.

Speakers will include David Fernandez, M.D., Orthopedic Surgeon and Hugo Lopez, M.D., Neurosurgeon

Topics will include the differences between back and leg pain, the steps you can take to get relief and McLaren’s Spine Program. — G.G.

Journey to Bethlehem at Davison Missionary Church

DAVISON TWP. — A long time ago in a land far away the events of one mysterious night in Bethlehem started the celebration of Christmas. What would Bethlehem have been like at the time of Christ’s birth 2000 years ago?

Experience the sight and sounds of Bethlehem at Davison Missionary Church, 1481 N. Gale Rd., on Dec. 1-2 from 3-7 p.m. Visit a live historic interpretation of Bethlehem and a living nativity.

Your journey will begin by listening to the sounds of Christmas, and led by a family guide, your family or group will go back in time. As travelers to the ancient city, walk through the events leading to the birth of Christ.
