Genesys Art Exhibit

GRAND BLANC — In partnership with Genesys Hospice, the Grand Blanc Arts Council is featuring an exhibit of wildlife paintings by Dan Waltz through March 2 at Genesys Health Park on the second floor. Dan Waltz is known for his realistic renderings of wildlife, as seen in numerous publications, including Michigan Out-of-Doors. A resident of Grand Blanc, he has also illustrated many children’s books and is the author/illustrator of the “Chilled to the Bone” series.

Dress sale to support Class of 2014

SWARTZ CREEK — The Special Occasion Dress Sale 2013, sponsored by the Class of 2014, will be held Jan. 12, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. This is a consignment sale for gently used “Special Occasion” dresses.

The cost to sell is $5 per dress and various prices are set by the sellers. The sale will take place in the Swartz Creek High School Media Center

Dresses must be dropped off by Jan. 11, in the High School Media Center from 3-7 p.m. All dresses are expected to be clean and in good condition.

Hat and Mitten Tree at eye care clinic

DAVISON — The Davison Lions Club is sponsoring a hat and mitten tree for local area children through December. With the cold weather here, many children need hats and mittens.

Bluegrass jamboree

DAVISON — The Living Grace Community Church, 334 N. Main St., will hold a Bluegrass Country Gospel Jamboree the last Friday of every month from 7-9 p.m.
