MCC presents a free, three-part story hour series
FLINT — A new story hour program designed for children ages 2-7 and their parents and caregivers is being presented by Mott Community College this month.
The storytellers, students enrolled in MCC’s “Introduction to Storytelling” class (English – 211) will be participating in the Story Hour to fulfill a community service requirement of the course. This event is free and open to the public.
The Story Hour Series will be held in the Trustee Hall of the MCC Event Center, located adjacent to the MCC Library at 1401 E. Court in Flint. Three Story Hour sessions are scheduled at the following times: 9-10 a.m., Feb. 22; 1-2 p.m., Feb. 23; and 11 a.m.-noon, March 2. English Prof. Heather Sisto, coordinator of the Story Hour series, will attend each session.

Ask the Lawyer series continues
FLINT — The Genesee County Bar Association is hosting its “Ask The Lawyer” free community seminar focusing on Driver’s License Restoration & Responsibility on Thursday, March 14, 2013, 6 p.m., at the Flint Public Library. This seminar is open to the public and is a community collaboration between the Flint Public Library and Legal Services of Eastern Michigan.

FLINT — The Kidney Cancer Support Group of Michigan (est. 2007) will meet March 20 at 1:30 p.m. at Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute, 302 Kensington Ave. (off Robt. T. Longway Blvd. between I-475 and Dort Hwy).
