Township road advisory member moving on

FLINT TWP. — David Arceo, a long-time member of the township Road Advisory Committee submitted his resignation to the township board Monday night. Arceo recently won appointment to the Genesee County Road Commission and was informed that his role with the township road advisory committee would create a conflict of interest. The board praised Arceo’s service and accepted his resignation with regret. — R.S.

Alternative school hosting open house

Swartz Creek Women’s Club offers scholarship

SWARTZ CREEK — Applications are being accepted for the General Federation of Women’s Clubs-Swartz Creek 2013 $500 scholarship. Women currently enrolled in college and living within the Swartz Creek Area School District are invited to apply. Applicants must carry a minimum college GPA of 2.5. Several live theatre performances in March

GENESEE COUNTY — The Davison Passion Players will be presenting the live theatre performance of The Truth and the Sword at the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, located at 7400 Miller Rd. in Swartz Creek, on March 9 at 12 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Performances will also be held at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, located at 1209 Coutant St. in Flushing, on March 17 at 6:30 p.m. and at the Davison High School, located at 1250 North Oak St. in Davison, on March 29 at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. Admission is free. — A.P.

Senior Center to host pancake fundraiser
