GOODRICH — Training for Genesys Hospice volunteers runs every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m., through Feb. 24. Training takes place at the Genesys Hospice Care Center, located at 7280 St. State Road in Goodrich.

Volunteers also are needed at the Genesys Hospice Care Center, a 22-bed facility located in Goodrich. This center provides residential hospice care for terminally ill patients as well as inpatient level of care for symptom management.

Training focuses on the hospice philosophy, developing listening skills, gaining awareness of feelings regarding death and dying, patient care, spiritual care and bereavement.
