Hurley partners with STAT EMS, county parks for Rescue 911 events
FLINT — Hurley Medical Center is partnering with STAT EMS, Genesee County Parks, along with local police and fire Departments for the next FREE Rescue 911 event, for kids ages 8 through 12.
Registration is being accepted for the event online at www.statems.net/save_ a_ life or call 810-238-7672 ext. 205.
The events include:
• Flushing County Park, 545 S McKinley Rd., in Flushing on June 26 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
• Bluebell Beach, 5500 Bray Rd., Genesee Township, June 27, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
• Linden County Park, 15349 S. Linden Rd., Linden, on Aug. 22, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
The events include pulse and target heart rate and the importance of exercise, along with relay races, 3 legged race and other fun games, and: Ident-a-Kid; First Aid; Bullying Information; Summer & Swim Safety; Bike & Helmet Safety; Home Alone Safety; Fire Prevention & Fire Safety; FREE Lunch — Program Materials and T-shirts for Kids. — G.G.
Kidney Cancer group to meet June 12
FLINT — The Kidney Cancer Educational Support Group of Michigan will meet June 12 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute, 302 Kensington. Guest speaker: Nancy Dekatch, Dekatch Caregivers Institute.
The topic is “All About Caregiving.” The meeting is open to the public.
