HealthPlus scores triple play in national quality rankings
FLINT — HealthPlus’ private health maintenance organization/point of service, Medicare HMO and Medicaid HMO plans are among the highest-rated in the nation in their respective categories, according to the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s Health Insurance Plan Rankings 2013-2014 which were released Sept. 19.
This is the second consecutive year HealthPlus has achieved these accolades in all three categories.
The company’s private HMO plan has ranked among the nation’s top health plans every year since the NCQA ranking program began in 2005.
The rankings are based on evaluations of health plan performance in the areas of prevention, treatment and consumer satisfaction.
“The broad range of health plans HealthPlus offers makes us unique,” said Bruce Hill, president and CEO of HealthPlus. “Receiving high rankings for many of our products demonstrates our commitment to effectively meeting the many health care needs of Michigan’s residents. HealthPlus’ network of dedicated health care providers and our hard-working employees deserve recognition for this significant achievement.”
