HealthPlus rated third in nation, first in state

FLINT — HealthPlus is rated No. 3 in the nation for customer service, according to survey results from the national Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems® program.

In addition, the same survey rated HealthPlus the highest in Michigan in: Rating of personal doctor, customer service, getting needed care and getting care quickly.

An overwhelming majority of HealthPlus members reported being highly satisfied with their experience in these areas. The ratings are based on survey responses from Michigan residents with commercial health coverage.

“Providing superior customer service is a top priority at HealthPlus,” said Bruce Hill, HealthPlus president and CEO.

Riegle award nominees

FLINT — The Flint Jewish Federation in partnership with the Flint Institute of Arts has announces Louis Hawkins, Kay Kelly and Mitchell Weiss have been named recipients of the 24th Annual Donald Riegle Community Service Award.

The event will take place Oct. 24, 5:30 p.m. at the Flint Institute of Arts and tickets are $125 per person.

This annual event honors three members from the local community for their dedication and commitment to community service. It is named for Michigan’s former Senior United States Senator Donald W. Riegle.

Proceeds for this fundraiser will provide support services and acculturation programs to refugees and other immigrants in Genesee County.— G.G.

Raymond named 2013 Realtor of the Year

GENESEE COUNTY — The Flint Areas Association of Realtors has named Debi Raymond of Re Max Select as its 2013 Realtor of the Year. This award is given in recognition of outstanding service for the association, the community and the real estate industry.

Award winners were chosen by their peers and recognized both locally and at the Michigan Association of Realtors Convention & Expo which was held at the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort on Sept. 25-27.

Raymond has been involved in real estate and working with her husband Paul for over 15 years.

She is currently working on her Brokers license and hopes to have it completed by the end of the year.

She is currently the President Elect of the Flint Chapter Women’s Council of Realtors. — G.G.
