Digital Amusement Park

FLINT — The Longway Planetarium will hold a digital amusement park laser light show on Nov. 29 at 1, 2, & 3 p.m. Admission is adults: $5, children (3-11): $4. Join the planetarium for this internationally award winning special effects show where you will experience virtual reality type amusement park rides including a Ferris wheel, scrambler, and several roller coasters. Experience the thrill of speed and lights that take viewers on amusement parklike rides. Recommended for all ages. — G.G.

Public invited to MCC Night at the Palace on Dec. 13

AUBURN HILLS — The Foundation for Mott Community College and the MCC Alumni Association invite you to join them for an evening to watch a Detroit Pistons basketball game from the suite level at the Palace of Auburn Hills, Dec. 13.

Mott Community College Night at the Palace of Auburn Hills is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 13 inside Club 300, an upscale sports bar located on The Palace’s suite level. This event is open to the public.

Club 300 opens at 6 p.m., and the game starts at 7:30 p.m. with The Detroit Pistons taking on the Brooklyn Nets. The MCC Cheer Team will be on hand to perform on the Pistons Court right before tip-off.

Hospice Art fundraiser

GRAND BLANC TWP – Art by Barbara Walworth will be on exhibit at Genesys Health Park until Jan 11, 2014. In partnership with Genesys Hospice, the Grand Blanc Arts Council is featuring the watercolors inspired by nature and done in the style of abstract realism, which will be located on the second floor of the hospital between the elevators. To purchase a piece of artwork from the exhibit, call Hospice at 810-695-9878. 25% of proceeds from these sales are donated to Genesys Hospice.— P.S.
