Zumbathon planned to aside Philippines
FLINT — A Zumbathon charity event for the Philippines Typhoon Aid and Relief will be held at Hurley Health & Fitness Center, 4500 S. Saginaw St., Flint on Dec. 13, from 6 to 8pm. Licensed Zumba Instructor Michelle Kryska, along with the host facility — Hurley Health & Fitness Center, members of the Pilipino- American Association of Greater Flint (PAAGF), and a network of Zumba instructors from Mid-Michigan and Southeast Michigan will unite for an evening of dance fitness, to raise funds for the Philippines relief.
The cost is $15 per person at the door, with net proceeds to benefit the victims and communities devastated by Typhoon Haiyan and relief efforts by the Philippine Red Cross and American Red Cross.
This Zumbathon charity event is open to the public. Participants in the Zumbathon must be at least 14 years old. Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Other fundraisers at the Zumbathon include a bake sale by the PAAGF and a small-scale silent auction — offering great gift ideas for the holidays.
