Explore fossils at Longway Planetarium

FLINT — Make your own fossil model while learning how fossils form. Dig through fossil rich sediment to find real fossils to clean and take home. Create a beautiful piece of art and take home real fossil specimens to add to your rock collection.

This fossil activity willl take place at Longway Planetarium, 1310 E. Kearsley St., Dec. 27, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. This activity is for children ages 8-12 year olds and the cost is $10 per child, APHC members $9 per child. — G.G.

MCC class registration

GENESEE COUNTY — One-Stop, One-Day class registration at all Mott Community College locations on Jan. 4

The MCC Super Saturday registration event, designed to provide all the enrollment services students need to successfully complete the registration process, at one place and one time, is scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Jan. 4. This event is free and open to the public.

Students may choose to attend Super Saturday at any of the following convenient MCC locations:

• Main campus, 1401 E. Court St. in Flint, 810-762-0200;

• Northern Tier Center in Clio, 4082 W. Vienna Road, 810-232-8044;

• Southern Lakes Branch Center in Fenton, 2100 West Thompson Road, 810-762-5000

Hospice Art fundraiser

GRAND BLANC TWP. — Art by Barbara Walworth will be on exhibit at Genesys Health Park through Jan 11. In partnership with Genesys Hospice, the Grand Blanc Arts Council is featuring the watercolors inspired by nature and done in the style of abstract realism, which will be located on the second floor of the hospital between the elevators. To purchase a piece of artwork from the exhibit, call Hospice at 810- 695-9878. Twenty-five percent of proceeds from these sales are donated to Genesys Hospice.— P.S.
