OB/GYN Specialist Joins McLaren Flint

FLUSHING — Shelley Binkley, MD, a board certified obstetrician/gynecologist, has joined the medical staff at McLaren Flint. She is seeing patients at Flushing Community Medical Center at 2487 North Elms Rd. in Flushing.

Binkley received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia,

Pennsylvania. She completed medical residency at University of Colorado Health Sciences in Denver. Dr.

Free foreclosure advice for Genesee County residents

FLINT — Metro Community Development in downtown Flint is now offering foreclosure prevention counseling to homeowners residing within Genesee County. Free counseling is available for homeowners that may already be in the foreclosure process or facing a financial hardship that could prevent them from staying current on their mortgage payments.

All of Metro Community Development’s counselors are experienced certified housing counselors, HUD approved, and trained in the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) Housing Counseling Program.

During the counseling process, homeowners can expect to review their credit, establish a household budget, evaluate their options, and apply for relevant programs.

One of the options available to struggling homeowners is applying for assistance from the state.
