Kidney cancer group to meet April 30
FLINT — The Kidney Cancer Educational Support Group will meet April 30 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute, 302 Kensington Ave. Featured Speakers: Kate Kraft, M.D., Pediatric Urologist, University of Michigan. The Point Church announces Easter plans
GOODRICH — The Point Church plans to host multiple Easter Parties throughout local neighborhoods in Goodrich, Davison, Flint, and Grand Blanc this Easter weekend.
Each neighborhood celebration encourages community families to attend and will be held on April 19. Each celebration will feature an Easter egg hunt, snacks, games, and activities for the whole family.

In addition to neighborhood parties, The Point Church will also host a family Easter party, complete with an egg hunt, inflatables, and games for the whole family at their Downtown Flint location. The Easter party will begin at 10 a.m. on April 19 at 718 Oak Street in Flint.

Laser and educational shows at Longway
FLINT – Longway Planetarium, 1221 E. Kearsley St., will hold the Great Space Chase Laser Show through April 11, Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. An out of this world educational laser show highlighting the planets and solar system featuring music from science fiction films and space-themed rock. The Intergalactic Accelerator Suit has been stolen! Lieutenant Photeus and the computer glitch, Thacker, set off in hot pursuit of the sinister Captain Zenon. Learn about the Solar System and the universe around us with this exciting, music-filled laser show. Songs include tunes by Madonna, U2, Paul Okenfold, Monty Python and Red Nexx. Recommended for ages 4 and older.
Longway will feature Skies of Michigan Tonight through April 11, Monday-Friday at 2 p.m. Early Spring is a great time for stargazing. Orion the Hunter and other Winter constellations are still visible and Leo the Lion leads the Spring stars high in the east.
