Charity Golf Outing for Flint Junior Golf Association

FLINT — The King Par Classic golf outing will be held June 23rd at the Flint Golf Club. The Classic is one of Genesee County’s premier charity golf events benefiting the Flint Junior Golf Association. This will be the fourth year King Par has hosted the event to benefit local charities in the community.

Last year over 800 children and young adults were able to participate in the FJGA.

“We believe GOLF stands for Great Opportunities Lifetime Friendships”, said Loyd Walter of the Flint Junior Golf Association. Some of the benefits received through the King Par Classic include funding the scholarship programs, expanding teaching clinics, allowing us to keep fees for the kids to a minimum and many other great benefits. We don’t turn kids away. If they want to play, we find a way to make it possible”, continues Walter.

There are still opportunities to sponsor events including hole sponsorships for the King Par Classic to benefit the FJGA. Teams are still welcome to sign up through June 20th for the handicapped Pro-Am scramble event starting at Noon. Teams participating in this event will be paired with a PGA Pro for their fifth team member.

“King Par and the Flint Junior Golf Association share a love of golf, and the belief that community growth as well as our sport depend on youth for its future. Making a difference in our children’s lives is what the King Par Classic is all about,” saaid Ryan Coffell, King Par CFO.
