McLaren Flint confirms Medicare compliance

FLINT — McLaren Flint is issuing confirmation that we remain in full compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation and that we continue uninterrupted participation with the Medicare program.

On June 26, McLaren Flint completed a follow up survey with CMS in which the surveyor found the hospital to be in compliance with the CMS Conditions of Participation.

On June 29, a Public Notice was published stating CMS found McLaren Flint to be out of full compliance with the Conditions for Participation and would be terminating our participation with the Medicare program effective July 14.

When McLaren became aware of this notice it notified CMS and began working with them to correct the communication, according to officials.

On July 1, a CMS representative confirmed the surveyor report from June 26 found McLaren Flint is in compliance with the Conditions of Participation.

McLaren issued a statement last week saying CMS will be issuing a new public notice on, or before July 14, in which it confirms McLaren Flint is in compliance with the Medicare Conditions of Participation and will continue to receive Medicare payments for hospital services. — G.G.
