Credit Union hosting Crim registration blitz
FLINT TWP. — The HealthPlus Crim Festival of Races will host a race registration event 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, July 18 at Financial Plus Credit Union, G–3381 Van Slyke Road. It is open to the public and will offer registrants a $3 discount on race registration, plus a race day care package. Bobby Crim, founder of the road race now in its 38th year, will be making an appearance. Financial Plus’ Benefits Plus members will save $5 on race registration that day. Additionally, the first, fifth, eighth, and tenth registrants that day will receive a free race registration, compliments of the Crim Fitness Foundation and Financial Plus.
Crim race staff will be on site to answer any race questions. Registrants can also take fun photos in the Freeze Frame Photo Lounge. Tropical Smoothie Café of Grand Blanc, Genesys Athletic Club, Complete Runner, and Bauman’s Running Store will also be on site offering samples of products and services geared towards Crim participants, as well as special offers and coupons. Flint Twp. kicking off Bricks Tune-Up parties
FLINT TWP. — Look for details soon about the fourth annual Back to the Bricks Tune-Up Parties Week, Aug. 4-9, Flint Township hosts the first one on Monday, Aug. 4, followed by Clio on Tuesday, Aug. 5; Linden on Wed. Aug. 6,, Fenton, Thursday, Aug. 7, Davison, Friday, Aug. 8 and Mt. Morris, Saturday, Aug. 9. For the past two years, the Flint Township event has started in the parking lot at Genesee Valley Center mall in the early afternoon then moved for the evening portion down the road to the parking lot of Duke’s Stereo on Miller Road. — R.S.
