Norko Drive rehab begins Monday; completition Oct. 10
FLINT TWP. — The Genesee County Road Commission plans to start construction on Norko Drive from O’Neal Drive to Linden Road on Aug. 18. Only one lane local traffic will be maintained via flagging operation. Traffic driving through the roadway will be asked to seek an alternate route. Bridge work begins on Linden Road bridge over Flint River
FLINT TWP. — The Genesee County Road Commission will close the Linden Road Bridge over the Flint River, between Beecher and Flushing Roads on Monday, August 18, Traffic will be detoured via Flushing, Mill and Beecher Roads. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and allow themselves additional time to reach their destinations. The anticipated project completion date is Oct. 10. — R.S.
Robotics Yard Sale Fundraiser needs items
FLINT TWP. — Donations are now being accepted for a Robotics Yard Sale Fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 30; Sunday, August 31 and Monday, Sept. 1 at 5301 S. Dyewood Drive, Flint, between Court Street and Calkins off Dye Rd. All proceeds go to the Carman-Ainsworth High School robotics team, which earned a trip to the world championship meet in St. Louis this school year.
