Michigan Health, Hurley to hold open house Aug. 20

GRAND BLANC — On Aug. 20, Michigan Health Specialists and Hurley Health Services Grand Blanc Urgent Care are hosting a joint ribbon cutting celebration and open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the community is invited to come out and enjoy free refreshments, bounce house, tours of the state of the art medical practice and urgent care facility, and more.

The center is located at the corner of Dort and Saginaw streets.

“Since we formed Michigan Health Specialists in 2001 we have opened offices in Flint, Burton and Lapeer and we are very excited to have such a premier medical facility in the heart of Grand Blanc. We are dedicated to serving comprehensive care for your entire family,” adds Seif Saeed, MD, co-owner of Michigan Health Specialists and the Grand Point Health building.

Saeed is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

Hurley Health Services (HHS), a division of Hurley Medical Center, opened the Grand Blanc urgent care office April 28, 2014, which is equipped with on-site lab and x-rays. “We’re excited to offer another health care option for our Hurley family in the Grand Blanc community,” said James Buterakos, MSA, Executive Director of HHS. Grand Blanc Urgent Care is open seven days a week.

HHS and Hurley Medical Center have multiple services throughout Genesee County, as well as in Lapeer County. Buterakos said Hurley’s main interest is “to provide the best, most convenient care for the Grand Blanc and surrounding communities.”

“This new facility enables Hurley to provide additional, outstanding pediatric services and specialists to care for your loved ones in a beautiful, safe and state of the art setting, expanding access to care for local families everywhere.
