Support Robotics Yard Sale fundraiser this weekend

FLINT TWP. — A Robotics Yard Sale Fundraiser will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 30; Sunday, August 31 and Monday, Sept. 1 at 5301 S. Dyewood Drive, between Court Street and Calkins off Dye Rd. All proceeds go to the Carman-Ainsworth High School robotics team, which earned a trip to the world championship meet in St. Louis this school year. WFBA planning 25th Anniversary Celebration

FLINT TWP.— After a summer hiatus, the West Flint Business Association is gearing up to restart its monthly meetings with a celebration of its 25th year, on September 17. The meeting is open to the pubic and starts at 12:30 pm at Valley Family Restaurant. 5009 Miller Rd, Divine Dixie Diva will provide a birthday cake and the guest speaker will be Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton, 22-year member. — R.S.

C-A reunions planned

FLINT TWP. — A Hoover School Reunion for all former students, teachers, and neighborhood residents will be held on Sunday, September 7, beginning at 2 p.m. at the American Legion Memorial Home Lounge, 4314 W. Dye High School’s annual thunderbolt reunion will be held Saturday, September 13 at the St. George Orthodox Banquet Hall, 5191 Lennon Rd., from 7-11:00 p.m., Cost is $15.00 per person at the door (checks can be payable to Dye Alumni Assoc.) Music will be provided for listening and dancing. Snacks, soft drinks, beer, ice & glasses provided. Class group pictures will be taken and Dye High School memorabilia displayed. Questions?
