FLINT TWP. — Parents and the public are invited to attend open houses being held at all Carman-Ainsworth Schools. Here is the schedule:
• Carman-Ainsworth High School – 5:30 p.m., Thursday, September 4
• Dillon Elementary – 6 p.m., Monday, September 8,
• Dye Elementary – 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 9
• Randels Elementary – 6 p.m., Tuesday, September 9
• Rankin Elementary – 6 p.m., Tuesday, September 9,
• Carman-Ainsworth Middle School – 6 p.m, Thursday, September 11

Important C-A Food Service Information for school year
FLINT TWP. — Carman-Ainsworth school lunch prices will cost ten cents more this coming school year. The prices are:
Elementary Lunch $1.90 Secondary Lunch $2.40
Elementary and Secondary Breakfast $1.25
Parents of students eligible for the free and reduced lunch program will fill out only one form for all their children this school year, even if the students attend several different buildings.

Kidney Cancer Support group to meet
FLINT — The Kidney Cancer Support Group of Michigan will meet Sept. 17 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Genesys Hurley cancer Institute, 302 Kensington. A discussion and video presentation on Arthritis will be held in the conference room of GHCI.

Heartland Hospice offers grief support
FLINT — Heartland Hospice, 6211 Taylor Dr., provides, at no charge, on-going grief support for anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one. First and third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Light refreshments are provided.

Flint Optimist Club gives away bicycles at center
FLINT — The Downtown Flint Optimist Club treated more than 20 local children to a pizza party and gave away over 20 bicycles and helmets to well-deserving kids at the Haskell Youth Center. The children are all members of the Boys& Girls Clubs of Greater Flint and the Flint Police Activities League (PAL). — G.G.
