Genesys presents free talk on hip and knee pain

GENESEE COUNTY — Genesys Orthopedic Services will present a free talk on hip and knee pain, Oct. 29 from 2-3:30 p.m. at Genesys Conference and Banquet Center, located on the Genesys Regional Medical Center – Health Park campus. Michael Sorscher, MD, orthopedic surgeon on staff at Genesys, will discuss the causes and symptoms of hip and knee pain; and treatment options including diet, exercise, medications and surgery. Frederick Schreiber, DO, orthopedic surgeon on staff at Genesys, will talk about current trends in hip and knee replacement, and recurring myths. Following the two presentations, Dr. Sorscher and Dr. Schreiber will answer questions.

Registration for MCC Winter Term begins Nov. 1

FLINT — Registration for the Winter Term 2105 at Mott Community College (MCC) begins Nov. 1, both online and in person. Online registration begins at midnight. In person registration begins at 8 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. on the main campus at 1401 E. Court Street, Flint. Applicants need to bring photo identification with them to registration.

All Students Services departments on the main campus will be open including: Advising, Counseling, Registration, Admissions, Financial Aid, Cashier and Records. Additionally, the Southern Lakes (Fenton), Lapeer Extension (Lapeer) and Northern Tier (Clio) branch centers will be open for registration. ABWA to hold Nov. 1 meeting at Sophia’s
