GENESEE COUNTY — In anticipation of high demand for vaccinations due to immunization requirements for school entry, the Genesee County Health Department strongly recommends parents contact their child’s health care provider immediately to ensure that your child is up to date on his or her immunizations before school begins. Children in kindergarten, sixth grade, and those entering a new school district for the first time can be excluded from school if they have not received the required vaccinations. Waiting until the end of August may cause delays in scheduling appointments at your provider’s office.

McLaren Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Davison, in collaboration with the Genesee Intermediate School District and the Genesee County Health Department, will once again be providing community clinics to assist in meeting this demand. The following is a list of clinics that are currently scheduled: Grand Blanc West Middle School, Aug. 22 Grand Blanc East Middle School, Aug. 23 Carman-Ainsworth Middle School, Aug. 23 Atherton Middle School, Aug. 24 Goodrich Middle School, Aug. 25 Montrose — Kuehne-Have Middle School, Aug. 30, Swartz Creek Middle School, Aug. 31 Davison — Hahn Intermediate School, Aug. 31
