Ryan Bellows fundraiser

FLINT — The Bluegrass Bazaar, started by late resident Ryan Bellows, will again be held this year and a fundraiser to assist the committee putting it together will be held Feb. 27 at Churchill’s in Flint from 9 p.m.-2 a.m.

The cost is $5 at the door with a $10 suggested donation and will feature Door Prizes, Raffles, Sticker sales and music by: Breaker Breaker, B-rant Losinski, Hunter Burt, John Vanner Asp (AKA Spag), Aed Hanley and more to be announced. FSPA faculty to perform

FLINT — Flint School of Performing Arts Jazz Faculty is proud to be performing alongside French Limonest musicians 7 p.m., Feb. 13 in the MacArthur Recital Hall at the Flint Institute of Music, 1025 E. Kearsley St. in Flint. Open to the public. Free admission.

Jeffrey Price is the chair of the winds and brass department at the FSPA and performs with faculty jazz groups at U/M-Flint and the FSPA.

Roger Jones has performed professionally in US, Europe, Turkey and Japan. Has performed with Marcus Belgrave, JJ Johnson, Wallace Roney, Wynton Marsalis, Joe Henderson and Roy Hargrove.

Terry Newman performs regularly with Orquestra Ritmo, a latin jazz orchestra which has been featured on PBS and throughout Michigan.

Stephane Rivero is one of the most in-demand bass players in the Lyon, France, area. He performs with a variety of people as a sideman and as a leader. Alexis Requet performs with the ASSAI Jazz Trio along with Stephane Rivero and is a jazz teacher at the Limonest Conservatory.

Cedric Migazzi teaches saxophone at the Limonest Conservatory. Johann Fievet Connoisseur of both the jazz and classical percussion worlds, Johann Fievet plays and teaches all percussion instruments.

Valentine craft fair at Flint Farmers Market

FLINT — Flint Handmade will host a Valentine’s Craft Fair at the Flint Farmers’ Market, Feb. 14 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Valentine’s Craft Fair will feature 20 local artisans with handmade goods that would make great gifts for all loved ones, or yourself. — G.G.
