Mott Community College Board of Trustees to meet
FLINT — The regular Committee of the Whole meeting of the Mott Community College (MCC) Board of Trustees will be on Feb. 23, at 6:30 p.m., in Room 1301 of the MCC Regional Technology Center, located at 1401 E. Court St. on the MCC main campus in Flint.
The regular Meeting of the Mott Community College Board of Trustees will be held at 7:30 p.m., in Room 1301 of the MCC Regional Technology Center.
The Board may also move to proceed in closed session to discuss matters allowed pursuant to the Open Meetings Act.

Mt. Morris Library to host watercolor painter
FLINT — The Mt. Morris Library will host a reception for watercolor artist Dan Slattery from 2-5 p.m. on Feb. 14. Light refreshments will be available at this family friendly event.
Slattery’s work will be on display at the library from Feb. 7-March 14. Paintings on display will be available for purchase after the showing. Slattery is a graduate of Mt. Morris High School. This is his first exhibit in his hometown.
He graduated from Kalamazoo College and worked as an attorney for 18 years. He served as president of the Northern Indiana Artists, Inc., and he teaches watercolor workshops with a focus on land and seascapes.
Slattery also worked in acrylic, oils, pen and ink, pastels and ink washes before specializing in watercolor.

Bridal Alliance to give to Wish Upon a Wedding
GENESEE COUNTY — The Genesee County Bridal Alliance will make a donation to the Michigan Chapter of Wish Upon a Wedding on Monday, March 9, in the amount of $1,343. The donation will be presented at the regularly scheduled meeting of the GCBA at Signature Chophouse, 1537 East Pierson Rd, Flushing at 6:30 p.m. The funds for the donation were raised from admissions to the 2015 Wedding Marketplace hosted by the GCBA on Jan. 25, 2015. The Wedding Marketplace was the GCBA’s fourth annual bridal show featuring amazing local wedding vendors.
The Genesee County Bridal Alliance is a locally based non-profit organization of established and dedicated individuals who provide services for the wedding industry in Genesee County, Michigan.
