GRAND BLANC TWP. — The Grand Blanc Women’s Club will meet Wednesday April 15, for a luncheon served at 12:30 p.m., at the Flint Elks Club, 7177 E. Maple Ave in Grand Blanc. Red Cross Blood Drive
GOODRICH — The American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at the Goodrich United Methodist Church, 8071 S. State Rd, Goodrich, on April 16, from noon to 5:45 p.m. Appointments may be made by calling 1-800-733-2767 or going to redcrossblood.org with sponsor code Goodrich UMC. MCC students to receive award for community service
FLINT — Michigan Campus Compact (MiCC) has announced two students from Mott Community College will be awarded for their dedication and commitment to community service during the 19th annual Outstanding Student Service Awards Celebration, April 18, at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center in East Lansing. Each year, MiCC awards students from member colleges and universities across the state for their outstanding commitment to service-learning and civic engagement. Three types of awards are given: the Outstanding Community Impact Award, the Commitment to Service Award, and the Heart and Soul Award. This year, over 240 students from 30 member campuses will receive awards. Eugene Blackwell and Rachel Yacoub will receive the Commitment to Service Award. MiCC will honor all award recipients at an awards brunch on April 18, at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center in East Lansing from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Flint Arrowhead Barbershop Chorus presents concert
FLINT — On May 9, from 6-8 p.m. the Flint Arrowhead Barbershop Chorus will present its 76th year anniversary Spring concert at Powers High School Auditorium at 1505 West Court St., Flint in support of the Powers Catholic Student Scholarship Fund.
The Flint Arrowhead Barbershop Chorus, made up of 30 men who love to sing the old time American favorites. Show tickets are $15.
