Dine out tonight and support a worthy cause

FLINT TWP. — Diners at Leo’s Coney Island on Miller Road tonight, April 16, from 4-8 p.m. will benefit a free Ryan Bellows Bluegrass Bazaar to be held June 6 at Kearsley Park this spring. Leo’s is one of the sponsors of the event and will contribute 15 percent of proceeds from tonight’s meals. Raffles and door prizes also will be offered. — R.S.

County hazardous waste collection set for May

FLINT TWP. — Genesee County’s spring household hazardous waste and electronic waste collection event which will be Saturday May 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Carman-Ainsworth High School, 1300 North Linden Road. This is a free public service that is provided to all Genesee County residents for disposing of hazardous and electronic waste that would otherwise go into landfills. Spring Used Book Sale

FLINT — The Friends of the Flint Public Library’s Spring Used Book Sale will be held April 29-May 2. Wednesday and Thursday, noon to 7:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The sale will be held at the Flint Public Library, Lower Level Meeting Room, 1026 E. Kearsley St., Flint. – G.G.
