SOS mobile office coming to Genesee County

FLINT — The Michigan Secretary of State’s Mobile Office will serve area residents at an Operation Fresh Start event, June 1 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church 1309 N. Ballenger Highway.

Other organizations participating in the event include the city and county prosecutor’s offices, the Flint Police Department, the Michigan Department of Treasury and the Department of Health and Human Services.

The Michigan Secretary of State’s Mobile Office offers all the services available at local Secretary of State offices. Customers can apply for or renew their driver’s license, get license plate tabs, obtain vehicle record copies, change their address, pay outstanding fees, register their watercraft or sign up on Michigan’s Organ Donor Registry. — G.G.

Raymond James welcomes Ryan Ames

GRAND BLANC — Ryan William Ames recently joined Raymond James & Associates – member New York Stock Exchange/SIPC, as a First Vice President, Investments in its 8245 Holly Road, Grand Blanc office, according to Branch Manager Raymond J. Kelly, III.

Previously, he worked as a First Vice President of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management for seven years. Ames is a 2000 graduate of Northwood University where he earned his BBA in Marketing/ Management. Tractor Supply customer donations to fund 4-H programs across country

GENESEE COUNTY — Tractor Supply Company, in partnership with National 4-H Council, recently announced the record-breaking fundraising results of its spring 2015 Paper Clover Campaign.

Tractor Supply Company and Del’s Feed and Farm Supply, the largest retail farm and ranch supply store chain in the United States, raised an astounding $913,553 during the 12-day national in-store fundraiser.

Shoppers at Tractor Supply Company and Del’s Feed and Food Supply stores had the opportunity to purchase paper clovers between April 22–May 3 for a $1 or more during checkout. — G.G.
