Sweet Adelines dinner show

LAPEER — The Harmony Gateway Prospective Chorus will present Sentimental Journey: A Dinner Show at 5 p.m., Sept. 11 at The American Legion Hall, 1701 W. Genesee St., Lapeer. Dye High School to hold reunion

FLINT TWP. — The Dye High School Alumni Association will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of its’ final graduation class — the Class of 1961 — on Sept. 10. The event will be held at St. George Orthodox Church, 5191 Lennon Rd., in Flint from 7-11:30 p.m.

Each year Dye Alumni hold a reunion for the entire school with between 220-250 attendees each year. This year they also are dedicating a park bench in honor of Dye High School in the Flint Township Park. In 2007 the school bell was relocated to the site of its former home, inside the Financial Plus Credit Union. — G.G.
