Police Chief repeats warning about thefts from vehicles
FLINT TWP. — Police Chief George Sippert is advising residents to be vigilant against a rising security issue. In the past few months, police have seen an increase in larceny from motor vehicles in the business district and in neighborhood, he said. He is advising residents not to leave valuables in vehicles and also asking them to call 9-11 if they see anything suspicious. Incidents are happening day and night, he said. Thieves are typically breaking out a back window to gain access to locked vehicles. Police detectives have a lead on possible suspects but there probably is more than one active group, Chief Sippert said.— R.S.
