MCC music program students present Holiday Concert
FLINT — The Mott Community College Concert Band, Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, and Brass Ensemble will be joining together to celebrate an evening of holiday cheer on Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. in the Mott Memorial Building Auditorium on the main campus in Flint. Selections will include classics such as “Merry Christmas Darling” and “Sleigh Ride,” works from the Baroque and Classical eras by Handel, Mozart and Lappi, and holiday favorites such as “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” “Silent Night” and many others. The MCC Guitar Ensemble will start the evening off with a musical prelude beginning at 6:45 p.m.

Metro Alliance to hold public hearing, Dec. 16
GENESEE COUNTY — A public hearing will be held Dec. 16, at 7 p.m. in the Willard P. Harris Auditorium, third floor, Genesee County Administration Building, 1101 Beach Street, Flint, Michigan, 48502, as part of the Genesee County Metropolitan Alliance meeting.
This public hearing is an opportunity for you to review and comment on the following items: a proposed amendment to the FY 2014-2017 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The TIP lists federally funded transportation projects eligible for funding under Title 23 as amended, or Federal Transit Act funds. This hearing complies with the intent of the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21).
This process is also being used to meet the public input requirements of the transit Program of Projects. Community holiday dinner
FLINT — The Genesee County Bar Foundation and Bar Association 25th Annual Community Holiday Dinner is scheduled Dec. 17, from 4-7 p.m. at the Masonic Temple, 755 S. Saginaw St., downtown Flint. The free dinner will feature a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Children will have their photographs taken with Santa Claus and receive a small gift. No reservations necessary.
