Kindergarten Round Up for Carman-Ainsworth Schools

FLINT TWP. — Do you have a child who is eligible to attend kindergarten in the fall? If your child turns age 5 by September 1, 2016, please plan to attend kindergarten registration at the elementary school in your service area. If you are not sure which one to attend, contact any C-A elementary school or the administration office. Registration dates are March 14-18. Winter tax bills are due

About two weeks are left to pay winter tax bills without penalty. Winter Tax collection began Dec. 1, and are payable through Feb. 29 at the Flint Township Administration Office, 1490 S. Dye Road, Flint. Administration office hours: 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. For more information, call 810-732-1350 ext. 108.

Online payments can be made via a link at www.flinttownship.org. See menu item “pay property taxes online” on left side of the page. Payments by phone can be made by calling 1-844-435-3979. Also a payment drop box is available on the north side of the Administration Office/Tax Department, 1490 S. Dye Road.

To get a receipt, include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Beginning March 1, Real Property Taxes will be payable with a penalty and interest to the Genesee County Treasurer. — R.S.

Non-Profit Fundraising Pizza Event for Literacy

GENESEE COUNTY — On Saturday, March 9, come out to Luigi’s, 2132 Davison Road, for an all-you-can-eat fundraiser. Genesee County Literacy Coalition is partnering with Luigi’s for an All You Can Eat Salad, Pizza and Pop Buffet, from Noon-4 p.m. Help Adults Read For Free, by purchasing a ticket and coming out to enjoy Luigi’s great food! Tickets are ONLY $12 for adults and $6 for kids ages 3 -10 (kids under 3 are free). Tickets sold at the door (cash or check only). There will be a Bake Sale, too!
